KANPUR CENTRAL

        Kanpur Central is one of five "Central" railway stations in India. it's a serious intercity rail and commuter rail station within the town of Kanpur, and is located on the Howrah - delhi broad gauge route passing through Uttar Pradesh. It holds the record for the most important interlocking route system within the world. it's the busiest station of the North Central Railways recording traffic of quite 150,000 passengers, and more than 280 trains per day.
After determining the railway stations that need to be best, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee included Kanpur Central in her list. She included funding for this add her "50 best Railway Stations" budget. A phased revamping has begun.

History

The present station was in-built 1928, although the imposing building was completed in 1930. Railway authorities have launched its token system for passengers to reduce the long waiting time for a reservation.

MUMBAI CENTRAL

       Mumbai Central (formerly Bombay Central) is a major terminus on the Western line, set in city, in an area well-known by identical name. Designed by British designer Claude Batley, it is a major stop for each local and inter-city/express trains with separate platforms for them . it's additionally a terminal for many long distance trains as well as the city Rajdhani express. Platforms and Layout

             The station is split into 2 parts. The eastern half the station serves long distance trains operated by Western Railways while the western half serves commuter trains running on the Churchgate-Virar suburban section of Western Railways. The mainline section has five high level platforms terminating during a large concourse on the southern end. The suburban section has four high level platforms. All the platforms square measure connected by foot overbridges and also the mainline platforms are wheelchair accessible from the south end.

Tickets and Reservation

             A large passenger Reservation Center with many ticket windows is located on the east side of the inject station.
